WISA is a not for-profit, independent, productive organisation and network.
Conversations that Count is a communication training program designed to build collective awareness of gender bias in seafood and empower women to spark dialogue that fosters safer, more equitable workplaces across the sector.
Through a series of five online workshops, participants will build a shared understanding of workplace culture challenges and opportunities, while developing practical communication skills to initiate conversations on gender and inclusion. By equipping individuals to champion inclusivity, the program not only supports women but also strengthens the industry’s ability to cultivate innovative, resilient workplaces.
In doing so, Conversations that Count helps position the seafood sector as an industry that reflects community values, builds trust, and enhances its long-term social licence.
