Finance and Programs Manager
Kate’s distinguished career spanning across the seafood industry, NFP organisations and local government. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Diploma of Management. Furthermore, she is the 2024 Queensland Rural Women’s Award Winner a graduate of the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program (NSILP), and serves as a board director for Tuna Australia and the Cairns Business Women’s Club.
Joining Women in Seafood Australasia (WISA) in October 2022, Kate is currently the Finance and Program Manager. She brings a unique perspective and is dedicated to sustainability, community engagement and strong financial management. Committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse seafood industry, Kate actively increases awareness and support for women in the field. Her passion for connecting with fishers and industry professionals, along with her close involvement with the tuna sector, makes her a dedicated advocate for the industry.
When she's not deep in her work, Kate enjoys relaxing with a good wine, working up a sweat at the gym, or savouring time on the ocean with her husband Rowan and their three children—her favourite place to be.
