She is currently working with emerging industry leaders as a facilitator and researcher on the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program and is Director of her consultancy business which aims to strengthen seafood businesses for the future.
Heidi is a graduate of the NSILP, is a member of the FRDC Seafood Industry Safety Initiative and a member of Seafood and Maritime Training Tasmania.
My involvement in WISA is driven by my passion to raise the profiles of women working within the seafood industry and increase general awareness in the community about the many and varied issues that the industry is facing today.
The seafood industry is unique, challenging and a very rewarding industry to be a part of. The diversity within the industry and opportunities that arise are major drawcards. The dedicated characters that each have their own inspiring story to tell make this industry special and unique. I love the challenges that continually present themselves. The industry is unpredictable with so many external factors that can affect production and time frames. No day is ever the same!!
It is a fantastic industry to be a part of, and I consider myself fortunate to have taken this path as I have developed life-long networks and friendships and hope to continue doing so for years to come.
